Borgo Santa MariaBorgo Santa Maria is a vacation resort consisting of four rural houses. Each of the houses has been carefully and accurately restored. The houses were been built of brick and stones centuries ago. All of the houses have an Umbrian style architecture. The fascination of the old rural houses can be felt upon entering the houses, whose walls are characterized by warm and mellow colors which creates a special atmosphere. The original wood beams in the ceilings of each apartment provides you with a feeling of living centuries ago. The atmosphere of the living rooms, with their original terracotta floors, old brick fireplaces and old restored furniture, is warm and inviting. The interior doors, as in the old rural tradition, have iron latches in place of the more modern handles. In addition to the details of the old tradition, the structure offers many modern comforts such as appliances, a safe, double-pane windows, satellite TV and decentralized heating. The resort is about 800 meters from the town of Santa Maria, where you can find a supermarket, newspapers, a pharmacy, pizzeria and restaurants. Banks, post office and railway station are located in Fabro Scalo, about 4 km from Borgo Santa Maria. There is a lot to see and do in Umbria and Borgo Santa Maria is located in an ideal place to visit a vast portion of central Italy. Many artistic cities, medieval towns and resorts are just one or two hours away. There is definitely lots of history, culture and sites to see all around the area. |

Casa della Pace Sant'AndreaSant'Andrea was established amongst the green hills of northern Umbria in 1988. Sant'Andrea provides a peaceful environment for those who are looking for a different vacation in close contact with nature, as well as for those who appreciate eating healthy, savoury and organic food. The place is also available for groups that want to organize and develop their own workshops such as yoga, meditation, shiatsu, dance, etc. These activities can be held in a charming de-consecrated church, a really ancient building, which may also be used for sitting quietly, reading, listening to or making music. The centuries old farmhouse can accommodate up to twenty people in eight comfortable bedrooms, six of which have their own shower and toilet. Meals can be consumed in two dining rooms, one with a large open hearth for log fires. An adjacent courtyard provides a shady area for summer outdoor dinners as well as for guests to enjoy each others company. Both church and rooms can be heated during the cold season. Sant'Andrea is also an excellent place to use as a base for either walking or biking excursions, in which you can explore hills, woods, various hidden winding paths that marvelously unfold before your eyes. Alternatively, you may decide to take a car ride, visiting some of the most architecturally and culturally interesting cities of central Italy such as Gubbio, Assisi, Urbino, Perugia, Cortona, Città di Castello. |
